About Me
My Background
___________________
Growing up, I learned to love learning and pursuing education. I always looked forward to going to school and see what new things I would learn each day. I credit much of this to my upbringing of my family where I learned the values I carry with me everyday.
In high school, my liking for STEM grew a tremendous amount, and this was largely thanks to my Advanced Mathematics (pre-engineering) cluster and attending yearly summer engineering camps (TexPrep). Through experiences and guidance, I learned that engineering was my right career for me.
Education
___________________
After completing high school, I chose to attend The University of Texas at Austin to study mechanical engineering. This was exciting, yet scary, time as I was one of the first in my family to attend college, and the first to leave home to attend college.
During my first three years of my undergrad, I have taken interesting engineering courses and built a strong support system. I had great mentorship through scholar programs including Ramshorn Scholars and HSF, and student organizations such as SHPE. I took advantage of all the opportunities that were presented in front of me, and led to a maximized college experience to date!
Aspirations
___________________
I am very passionate about technology, thus I am seeking Product Management internships for Summer 2023. I want to pursue this role as it is a great combination of passions of mine including my desire to be a creative contributor to the technology of tomorrow and increasing opportunities for low-income underrepresented communities. Through my work, I want to create helpful sources of technology along with increasing its availability to all populations.
Looking at my life trajectory, I want to be able to achieve and give back to my community in different ways. I want to be a mentor to many because I want to help others in their development so they can reach their full potential. In the latter of my career, I want to move to the non-profit sector as either a STEM advocate bringing more career opportunities or a scholarship provider for low-income communities.
